Campus Cleanup with the Surfrider Foundation
The Surfrider Foundation comes to campus one day each school year to teach the children about protecting our oceans and beaches. Most plastic pollution at sea starts out on land as litter on beaches, streets and sidewalks. Rain or overwatering flushes that litter through a storm drain system or directly to creeks, streams and rivers that lead to the ocean. So we do a school cleanup day to remove the litter from Coral Reef Elementary and prevent it from finding it's way to our beaches and oceans.
